After months of waiting and delays the entire structure of the Pansea Hotel to be built in Trinidad, a city declared Cultural Heritage of Humanity, is almost lifted. This hotel is part of the program for the development and expansion of the city’s hotel platform.
Alejandro Yanes, director of operations for the Construction Enterprise Group (GECSS) informed to Escambray that from January this year, with the push of forces Construction Companies for Architectural Works (ECOA-50 and 49) the labors have been intesified, and to date it has been possible to complete the structure, while the main block is being completed. “Despite we continue to work on the frame-he said-, right now urges the woodwork, but this is not inner the country, which obviously will bring other arrears”.
According to information provided by Reiner Rendón, delegate of the Ministry of Tourism (MINTUR) in the province, the Pansea already passed the most difficult stage, which was the foundation, and now it´s completing the scaffolding of an investment worth more than 8 million of Cuban pesos in construction and assembly, which have run more than 3 million since the work was started.
According to the opinion of specialists, construction and assembly of the hotel center should be completed before the end of the year, depending on the input of resources, while preparing other major investments planned for the Peninsula Ancon as part of a tourism development program that will provide the province of a 3000 rooms for 2018, with the construction of four hotels of high standards this tourist destination will become one of the most important in Cuba.
