The President of PARLATINO traveled to Cuba to strengthen the fruitful relations existing between the two parliaments.
The member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Cuban Communist Party and President of the National Assembly of the People’s Power (Parliament), Esteban Lazo, met with Panamanian deputy Elias Castillo, president of the Latin American Parliament (PARLATINO), who is on a visit to Cuba.
Castillo traveled to Havana to strengthen the fruitful relations existing between the two parliaments, based on the common interest of working for the full integration of the peoples of the region, the Granma newspaper reported.
The PARLATINO is composed of 23 countries and will celebrate the 50th anniversary of its founding in 2014.
