Army General Raul Castro, President of the councils of State and Ministers, returned to the island on Tuesday afternoonThe Cuban President returned after carrying out an intense program of activities within the framework of the summits of the CELAC-EU and the first one of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States, held over the weekend in the city of Santiago de Chile.
Upon his arrival at the capital’s Jose Marti International Airport, the head of state was received by Jose Ramón Machado Ventura, First Vice-president of the councils of State and Ministers, and by Army Corps General Abelardo Colome, Vice-president of the Council of State and Minister of the Interior.
During his stay in Chile, Raul held exchanges with almost all the heads of state of Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as with several representatives of European countries.
