The president of the Executive Board of UNESCO, Alissandra Cummins, will travel to Cuba to participate in the 10th Regional Meeting on Management of Historic Centers in Latin America and the Caribbean, local media reported today.The event to be held from May 15 to 18, has been convened by the Office of the Historian of Havana and the UNESCO Regional Bureau of Culture for Latin America and the Caribbean.
The main topic of the meeting is “the economic sustainability of the historic center, a shared responsibility,” which is part of the celebrations for the 40 years of the Convention on the Protection of World Cultural and Natural Heritage. (Taken from PL)
