US actor Michael Clarke Duncan, mostly known for his Oscar-nominated role as the death row inmate in the movie The Green Mile, died at the age of 54 in Los Angeles City.According to a communique, the actor was being treated for a heart attack that he suffered eight weeks ago, and since then he had remained hospitalized at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Duncan was the gentlest of souls, an exemplar of decency, integrity and kindness, said Frank Darabont, filmmaker of The Green Mile.
