Several educational institutions from the central Cuban province of Sancti Spiritus will welcome the next school year, to begin September 3rd, in better shape.
Sources from the regional educational office’s investment department said that restoration actions still continue in over 60 schools, most of which should be done prior to the beginning of classes. There are some 500 schools in this territory, over 50 of which have been improved during the last ten years.
According to a Cuban News Agency release, the facilities are mostly being repaired on the roofs, walls and hydro-sanitary networks.
Repair works are being carried out in all the municipalities, including the capital city, where the Ramon Leocadio Bonachea secondary education school was submitted to an overall renovation for the first time ever.
