Preparations for Cuban Elections Satisfactory

Cuba’s National Elections Commission called satisfactory the arrangements for the Oct. 21st nomination of candidates to make up the Municipal Assemblies of the People’s Power with the run-offs set for October 28th.

The first stage -from Sept. 3rd to 29th- will run the grassroot meetings whose reports indicate a growing number of monination areas that guarantee larger and massive participation in the assemblies, an exercices of democracy in proposing their best representatives, even at provincial and at Federal levels.

Each and every Cuban, underlines the National noon Newscast, has the legal right to propose and to be proposed and to attend these meetings convened, arranged and presided over by the local election commissions.
