The National Population and Housing Census is scheduled in Cuba from September 15th to 24th. This is the fourth investigation of its kind undertaken after the triumph of the Revolution.
The preparation of the 2012 National Population and Housing Census in Cuba entered an intensive and defining phase in Sancti Spiritus territory as, until upcoming September 13, some 3430 enumerators and supervisors who will participate in the fourth investigation of its kind undertaken after the triumph of the Cuban Revolution are to be trained.
According to Deisy Perez Arbelo, head of the Provincial Office in charge of the census, 25 areas intended for personnel training in charged of 140 instructors are already opened.
The group to apply and verify that proceeding is composed of students and teachers of the technical, vocational and higher educations, the latter level, with about 395 students and 160 professors.
According to Dulce Obregon Hernandez, methodologist at Sancti Spiritus Jose Marti University, students of all years will serve as enumerators and in minor cases, as supervisors.
Sources consulted by Escambray granted particular significance to the training, which will ensure quality in filling the questionnaire, which translates into obtaining accurate and objective data, therefore, the attendance to this training, which had had some difficulties, is crucial in the optimal preparation of the staff.
