More Surgical Operations Reported in Sancti Spiritus

The repairs carried out on Sancti Spiritus’s Camilo Cienfuegos hospital surgical theaters, the largest health institution in this central Cuban region, brought about greater stability for this health service. Thus, over 17 000 surgical operations were carried out last year.

Thus, over 17 000 surgical operations were carried out last year, and the so-called waiting list could be reduced to only 15 patients out of the over a thousand that were in it.

Most of the operations carried out were elective surgeries to treat malign tumor and hernias.

The renovation of this health institution’s surgical unit was concluded in 2010.
