Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez arrived in Havana after celebrating with his people the Day of National Dignity Rescue. The leader was welcomed by First Vice President of the Councils of State and Ministers, Jose Ramon Machado.

The head of state recalled last Friday, before thousands of people gathered outside the presidential palace, that 10 years ago the Venezuelan people staged a victorious day for the independence and unity of the countries of Our America, said the newspaper.
