The 34th New Latin American International Film Festival in Havana will render tribute to three maestros of the international cinema: Italian Michelangelo Antonioni, French director Chris Marker, and Czech filmmaker Jan Åávankmajer.
According to sources at ICAIC, the program of the event to be celebrated from December 4 to 14, will include partial retrospectives of these three filmmakers.
Besides celebrating the centenary of Puerto Rican cinema, with the screening of about twenty films from that country, the Festival will also pay tribute to filmmakers from fiction, documentary, animation and experimental cinema who have “contributed to the evolution of the cinematographic language”.
