Gerardo Hernandez sent a message to the 13th Peruvian Forum in Solidarity with Cuba which reads, in part: “You can count on us and on our determination not to let you down, not to give in, and to stand firm in our struggle.”
The forum, which was held in the Peruvian city of Chiclayo over the weekend, was attended by Hernandez’s wife Adriana Perez, who read the message during one of the sessions of the solidarity meeting.
Gerardo Hernandez explained that a new legal action requesting the revocation of the sentence he was given, urges the U.S. government to release the documents proving the manipulation of public opinion prior, during and after the trial that gave him and his four compatriots extremely long prison sentences.
Hernandez recalls the existence of proof about the payment to Miami-based journalists to write articles against the five anti-terrorists. The reporters were paid by the U.S. government and the prosecution did not inform the defense. (Taken from RHC)
