Cuban Minister of Tourism Manuel Marrero attended in Trinidad the re-opening of several tourism facilities, within the framework of the celebration of the ancient village 498 foundation anniversary.
Accompanied by José Ramón Monteagudo, first secretary of the Cuban Communist Party in Sancti Spiritus, the minister toured the historic center of the city, where he praised the tastefully remodelled Meson del Regidor.
Brisas Trinidad del Mar Complex and Ancon resorts were also visited by the Cuban to authority, who witnessed the improvement of both facilities after the repairs to which they were also submitted.
Marrero acknowledged the boom of private business downtown Trinidad, which has availed the restoration of important buildings and the opening of several excellent private restaurants. (Taken from Radio Trinidad web site).
