Army General Raul Castro, President of the Cuban councils of State and Ministers, met on Tuesday afternoon with the President of Haiti, Michel Joseph Martelly, who is on an official visit to Cuba.
During the meeting, the two heads of state spoke about the good state of the relations of friendship and cooperation existing between the two countries. Likewise, they tackled other topics of regional and multilateral interest.
The distinguished visitor was accompanied by Pierre-Richard Casimir, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cults of Haiti. Participating, for Cuba, were Esteban Lazo, Vice-president of the Council of State, and Bruno Rodriguez, Minister of Foreign Affairs.
