Cuba: Fidel Castro Mocks his “Gravediggers” (+photos)

Cuban Revolution leader Fidel Castro published on Monday, October 22^nd, a comment in which he ridicules what he names “the imperialist media coop” that have been speculating about his health for several days.

After showing up on Saturday in Havana’s National Hotel along with former Venezuelan Vice President Elias Jaua, and after having exercised his right to vote on Sunday, the Cuban Revolution leader published on Monday, October 22^nd, a comment in which he ridicules what he names “the imperialist media coop” that have been speculating about his health for several days.

“Birds of ill omen! I do not even recall what a headache feels like”, writes Fidel on the Granma Daily which also brings to view a dossier with some pictures that according to him are the best evidence of the lies recreated in many Western media about his physical conditions.

With a straw hat and a red plaid shirt, Fidel appears photographed while walking by himself, reading a copy of the Friday October 19^th edition of the Granma newspaper, and watching outdoor plantings.

“Though many people in the world are misled by the media, most of which are in the hands of the privileged and the rich, the people increasingly disbelieve this press”, says Fidel Castro in the article.

In other part of his comment he explained his reasons to cease publishing his Reflections as “he did not want to use the pages of the press, which are dedicated to other duties required by the country”.
