The National Association of Cuban Economists and Accountants in Sancti Spiritus have contributed largely to solve the socio-economic problems of the territory.
The nearly 3100 members of the National Association of Cuban Economists and Accountants (ANEC, for its Spanish acronym) in Sancti Spiritus have made decisive contributions to solve the socio-economic problems of the territory, as a strategy to rescue the coffee production, to substitute imports in the sector of construction materials and, in the definition and management, with a purpose of advancing local development projects to achieve food sustainability, among others.
Sancti Spiritus economists have kept stable results over the past years: they have assisted and advised the economic forces of cooperatives and health units (primarily hospitals and polyclinics), where inventory, budget accounting, costs, and other aspects have been revised.
In addition, the Association has been involved in the preparation of economists and enterprises for the seventh national internal control testing, which began in late October. It has contributed to the economic preparation of the presidents of Popular Councils and delegates to the Assemblies of the People’s Power in the province and the municipalities, and has provided accounting courses to self-employed.
Similarly, ANEC has worked to support the Cuban economic model theoretically, as well as the population and housing census and contributed to the appropriate running of these elections, participating in events and scientific conferences. The association also carries out training activities.
