The Second Secretary of Cuba´s Communist Party Jose Ramon Machado Ventura received the Vice-President of Japan´s Communist Party Yasuo Ogata, who is paying a visit to Cuba at the invitation of the Cuban political organization.
During the meeting, the two political leaders exchanged views on issues of international interest, and about Japan and Latin America in particular, PL news agency reported.
Machado Ventura briefed Yasuo Ogata and his delegation about the results of the
recent 6th Congress of Cuba´s Communist Party and ongoing preparations for the First National Conference of the Cuban political organization, to be held in January.
During his stay in Cuba, the Japanese delegation has met with communist and grassroots organization leaders. The visitors also visited places of economic, social and cultural interest. (RHC) (photo: AIN)
