An article on Granma newspaper says that according to the meeting’s program the Economic Plan and State Budget drafts for 2012 will be placed for consideration and approval to the deputies.
This includes the presentations of preliminary results of the economic and budget performance in the current year.
The Cuban legislators will also learn about the progress made in the implementation of the agreements of the Sixth Congress of the Cuban Communist Party, and will hear reports from the People’s Supreme Court and the General Attorney’s Office.
On the previous day, deputies will be briefed on the annual work by the National Sports, Physical Education and Recreation Institute (INDER) and the results of efforts by the International Relations, Industry and Construction commissions.
All 12 standing working commissions of the Parliament will meet December 20 and 21, to analyze “among other topics” reports on the Economic and Budget Plans for the upcoming year in their relevant areas.
The Children Theater Company La Colmenita will offer a special performance to the delegates of the Cuban Parliament.
