The rescue of the remains of the passEngers and crew members traveling in the Aerocaribbean S.A. airliner crashed Thursday in Guasimal, Sancti Spiritus, was concluded. 68 persons were traveling in the plane, 40 of whom were Cubans and the other 28 were visitors from different countries.

Forensic experts and recuers worked hard after arriving in the hostile location some 30 kilometers south to the central Cuban city of Sancti Spiritus. The bodies are being sent to Havana’s Legal Medicine Institute for identification

Doctor Jorge González Pérez confirmed this Friday to Escambray that Cuba has both experts and means to undertake the investigation of the tragedy that took place in Sancti Spiritus.

Sources from the Cuban Civil Aviation Institute (IACC) informed that 68 persons were traveling in the plane, 40 of whom were Cubans and the other 28 were visitors from different countries.
