According to the investigative commission, a process of this magnitude requires the analysis of multiple factors and it has not been concluded yet

The commission investigating the plane crash of May 18 in Havana said today that any statement about the likely cause of this tragedy is still premature.

The group indicated that yesterday it had heard through press statements about speculation on the causes of the incident, which involved a Boeing 737/200 aircraft belonging to the Mexican Damojh Airlines.

According to the investigative body, a process of this magnitude requires the analysis of multiple factors and it has not been concluded yet.

The commission continues its work in accordance with the established program and once the analysis of the evidence is completed, the results will be reported, according to the statement issued this day.

Global Air said on Monday that human error was the cause of the May 18 accident in which more than 100 people were killed.

The Secretariat of Communications and Transport of Mexico also responded to Global Air’s statement reminding that the investigation has not been concluded yet,and the Institute of Civil Aviation of Cuba is the only entity able to determine the causes of the accident.
