“It is a good result, to grow four percent in this moment in the world, is a good result for an economy that in 2014, only grew one percent compared to 2013, the goal has been fulfilled,” the Minister emphasized during his intervention in the 6th Ordinary Period of Meetings of the Cuban Parliament.

Murillo stated that if better efficiency level is really guaranteed, it is was possible to grow more.

The international environment with the swaying of the prices, the tendency to the fall of the products and the values and change of coins has had negative effect in the exports of the island, but the plan designed in the economy so that it grew in 2014, has been achieved, pointed out Murillo.

He stated that Latin America this year is not going to grow, but lightly decrease, while Venezuela and Brazil have influenced, because of the landslide of prices of oil.

The Cuban parliamentarians meet this Tuesday in plenary session to discuss between other topics the execution of the budget of the State and the fulfillment of the Plan of the National Economy of the year 2015.

The meeting will also have to approve the Plan of the National Economy of 2016, as well as the Law of Budget of this year.
