The Chinese diplomat was interested about how the children live, their school activities, and their schedules, and was pleasantly surprised by the fact that once adults, the State must provide them with a house to facilitate their independent living.

During the tour to Historic Sancti Spiritus, the Chinese representatives and his companions were received at Casa de la Guayabera (House of the Guayabera Shirt), where they were told about the unique collection of garments received from outstanding personalities like Fidel and Raúl Castro, and from Ramón Labañino, Gerardo Hernández, and Fernando González, among others.

  1. Who wrote this lie? Since when does the government provide a house to us when we become adults? That’s a HUGE LIE!!!

    • This is no lie at all. We are talking about how things are done in Sancti Spiritus, but it should be the same all over the island, at least, the indication concerning how to take care of children in homes is the same for all institutions of this kind, and for the authorities who must follow the procedures. I personally know three people who were assigned houses once they became adults, but there are many others who have been assisted the same way. What’s the use of helping these children during their whole lives to turn our back to them when they grow up?. It makes no sense.

      • Hola, estuve en Sancti Spiritus en 2012….No me sorprende que una ciudad y región tan bien financiada por el turismo y la diáspora done casas .La ciudad es preciosa. Lástima el país entero no esté en las mismas condiciones. Saludos desde New York City.
