New VP of Council of Ministers Appointed in Cuba

The Council of State, at the request of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba(PCC), has appointed Adel Yzquierdo, the current minister of Economy and Planning, as vice president of the Council of Ministers, it was reported on Monday. According to the press release, Yzquierdo will maintain his responsibilities

The Council of State, at the request of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba(PCC), has appointed Adel Yzquierdo, the current minister of Economy and Planning, as vice president of the Council of Ministers, it was reported on Monday.
According to the press release, Yzquierdo will maintain his responsibilities as a minister, a post he has held since March 2011.

Yzquierdo, an engineer by profession, has held different posts, including the management of important companies and the leadership of Planning and Economy at the Ministry of the Revolutionary Armed Forces.
